Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th 1963 in Edo State in Nigeria. He grew up in a religious family with loving, dedicated parents. He is the son of Elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. God's grace was passed down to her son at an early age.

His brother Reverend Ken (the revered pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters.
